Complex carbohydrates -- Also known as starch, found in rice, pasta and potatoes. These take a while to break down and make you feel full longer. Complex carbohydrates should be the majority of your diet (except directly after your workout).

Fiber -- Webster's Health Dictionary defines this as: "...an indigestible carbohydrate that passes through your intestinal tract without absorption."
