	<title>Low Carbohydrate Recipes</title>

The  low carb craze has now been around long enough for the experts to come up with better and better low carbohydrate recipes.  You no longer have to settle for those boring, bland low carbohydrate recipes from the diet's inception.  There are many new resources on the market that cater specifically to the low carbohydrate diet , which has made finding low carbohydrate recipes that you will actually enjoy even easier.

We found a few great low carbohydrate recipes that would be perfect for serving to guests as well, even if they are not on a low carbohydrate diet.  Some recipes will not even hint at the fact that they have lower carbs.  Just remember that there is no standard as to how many carbohydrates are actually in any of the low carb recipes.  So it's important to find out for yourself how many are in any recipe that you are thinking about preparing, especially if you are more rigid in your dieting.  The following is one of our favorite low carbohydrate recipes that we found for breakfast, although it can be served at any meal.  Believe us, your guests will never know that it's missing a carbohydrate or two.

Hash Brown Frittata


Non-stick cooking spray
2 cups diced, frozen hash brown potatoes (with onions and peppers if you prefer)
1 cup broccoli florets
1/3 cup turkey bacon or turkey ham
1/3 cup evaporated milk (fat-free)
2 tablespoons flour
2  8-ounce cartons of egg product
1/2 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon fresh basil (1/2 teaspoon dried)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.  Place the hash browns and broccoli in the bottom of this dish.  Put the turkey bacon on top and set it aside.

In a medium bowl slowly stir the milk into the flour.  Stir in the egg product, half the cheese, basil, pepper, and salt. Pour the egg mixture over the potato mixture.

Bake in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.  Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and let it stand for about 5 minutes.  Garnish with additional basil.

There you have it, a great low carb recipe that you can sink your teeth into without any guilt!
