There are actually a lot choices when it comes to low carbohydrate foods. You might find that you don't really have to give up that much when substituting your normal meals with low carbohydrate foods. In fact, many of the things you love to eat will still be ok and some can be eaten plentifully! So dig into a low- carbohydrate diet and you'll find that it's really not all that restrictive. But just remember that eating low carbohydrate foods over the course of a few weeks will allow you to loose a few pounds quickly, but low carb food is not the answer to a sustained weight loss.

There are still a few restrictions for these low carbohydrate foods too, like the fact that oysters and mussels are higher in carbs than other shellfish and so their consumption should be kept to no more than 4 ounces a day. And processed meats are not low carbohydrate foods as they might be cured with sugar. Products that are not made exclusively of the things from the list above are not necessarily low carbohydrate like imitation fish and crab and breaded meats or fish.
